Chardon Shooting Victim Nick Walczak Attending June 15 Captains Game

(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains, class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, are proud to announce that as part of the festivities for the their June 15 game versus the Dayton Dragons, Chardon shooting survivor Nick Walczak will be in attendance and throwing out a ceremonial first pitch.

Walczak survived four gun shot wounds during the February 27 tragedy at Chardon High School that took the lives of three students and wounded Walczak and another student. Walczak is paralyzed from the chest down and continues rehabilitation.

The Captains have a special pre-sale ticket offer for that night. Fans can go to the ticket portion of the Captains web site and click on the June 15 game. The case sensitive promo code NICK can be entered. By doing so, the Captains will donate $4 to the Walczak Healing Fund for each promo ticket sold.
