JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Suns, Double-A minor league affiliate of the Miami Marlins, announced today that INF Danny Black has been transferred to Jupiter, effective after Game 1 of the Tuesday, May 29, 2012 doubleheader. In a corresponding move, INF Chris Gutierrez has been transferred to Jacksonville and is available for Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader in Jacksonville, Fla.
Black, played in seven games for Jacksonville in 2012 and hit .290 with two RBI in 31 plate appearances. Black will leave for Jupiter at the completion of Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader in Jacksonville, Fla.
Gutierrez, returns to Jacksonville after a stint with New Orleans where Gutierrez hit .100 with one homerun and two RBI in 10 plate appearances with the Zephyrs. Gutierrez will be available for Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader in Jacksonville, Fla.
