JACKSON, TENN. (MAY 29, 2012) - The Seattle Mariners have made the following roster move that affects the Jackson Generals roster. LHP James Paxton has been placed on the 7-day disabled list and RHP Taylor Stanton has been activated from Class-A Advanced High Desert today and will wear jersey #4.

PAXTON, 23, has been placed on the 7-day DL with a right knee contusion. Paxton left his start on Friday in the third inning with right knee soreness. Paxton was 3-3, with a 3.00 ERA in 10 starts this season for the Generals.

STANTON, 24, has been transferred from Class-A Advanced High Desert and will make Wednesday's 12:05 p.m. start against Pensacola. Stanton was 2-1, with a 6.08 ERA in 13 games, 5 starts this season. Stanton has appeared in 22 games for Jackson in 2010 and 2011, posting a 1-4 record with a 4.35 ERA in those outings. Stanton was a 26th round selection by the Mariners in the 2008 draft.
