Hamilton Tiger-Cats News Release
Hamilton, Ontario - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that one of the most heralded players in franchise history, Paul Osbaldison, has joined the coaching staff as Assistant Special Teams Coach.
Osbaldiston previously worked with the team's kickers as a consultant in 2011.
"I would like to welcome Paul to our coaching staff. This is a great opportunity for both Paul and our team, as our kickers will benefit from his vast knowledge while Paul will be provided with a chance to continue his development as a coach," said head coach and director of football operations George Cortez.
In his 18 seasons as a player, 'Ozzie' established himself as one of the most reliable kickers in Canadian Football League history, finishing his career with over 20 Tiger-Cats kicking and punting records including most points (2,856), most field goals (655) and most punting yards (88,542). He was a key member of the Ticats 1986 and 1999 Grey Cup championships.
"I'm excited to be back contributing to the team that I love. I can't wait to get to work," said Osbaldiston.

The Tiger-Cats also announced that the team has signed non-import Australian punter Josh Bartel.
Bartel (6-3, 200-pounds) will attend training camp with the Ticats later this week after impressing team scouts during a series of tryouts in April. Bartel joins the Black and Gold following an Australian rules football career and a tryout with the NFL's Green Bay Packers last season.
