Hagerstown, Md. - The Delmarva Shorebirds (20-22) scored early and relied on their pitching to knock off the Hagerstown Suns (23-17) 3-1 on Sunday afternoon at Municipal Stadium. Dylan Bundy earned his first professional win over five innings.

The Shorebirds scored first for a 28th time this season with two runs in the second. Brenden Webb doubled to deep right field to open the inning. Then, Gabriel Lino and Mychal Givens hit back-to-back singles to give the Shorebirds a 1-0 lead. Kyle Hoppy followed with a groundout to second that scored Lino.

In the third, the Shorebirds added a run on an error by Cutter Dykstra, allowing Sammie Starr to score from third. Starr led off the inning with a single into center field.

Dylan Bundy tossed five scoreless innings and surrendered just one hit. He retired the first 12 batters faced until Matt Skole doubled in the fifth inning. Bundy maneuvered out of a first and third jam with a strikeout and groundout to short.

The Suns got on the board in the seventh inning. Williams Louico issued a lead off walk to Jason Martinson, who proceeded to reach second on wild pitch. Martinson stole third and scored on a sacrifice fly to left-center field by Steven Souza.

David Baker entered in the ninth to earn his first save.

The Shorebirds play game one against the Lakewood BlueClaws on Monday night at 7:05pm. Left-hander Tim Berry is the scheduled starter.
