COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (Friday, May 18, 2012) - The Colorado Rapids announced on Friday that the club has re-signed forward Omar Cummings, a member of the Jamaican National Team in his sixth season with the Rapids, to a multi-year contract. Per league and team policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.
"Omar is one of the longest-serving members of our team, and has been a positive presence both on and off the field for years," said Technical Director Paul Bravo. "His talent, speed and work rate have made him an All-Star and an MLS Cup winner, and we're pleased to extend his contract."
Cummings, 29, has played 130 regular season games (101 starts) for the Rapids since joining the club out of the University of Cincinnati in 2007.
