
Rush Defeat Roughnecks in West

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Roughnecks season came to an end as the Edmonton Rush downed the Roughnecks 19-11 Saturday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome. The Rush will now travel to Minnesota for the West Division Final against the Swarm next Saturday.
Dane Dobbie led the Roughnecks with three goals and four assists for seven points. Shawn Evans had a hand in four goals and picked up two of his own, while Scott Ranger (4g) and Jeff Shattler (2g) also scored for Calgary.
Ryan Ward recorded a game-leading 11 points (5g, 6a) for the Rush, while Corey Small tallied five goals and set up three others for Edmonton.
Both Mike Poulin and Frankie Scigliano stood between the pipes for Calgary. Poulin made 33 saves over 38 minutes played, while rookie Scigliano stopped 6-of-13 shots. Geoff Snider scooped up 20 loose balls and won 25-of-33 face-offs.
The Roughnecks posted a 12-4 record in the 2012 NLL regular season to finish first overall, duplicating the franchise's best regular season record set in 2009.
