San Antonio, TX-The "˜Riders and the Missions combined on only 11 hits in the ballgame, but Frisco made theirs count, taking Wednesday's matinee 2-1 at Wolff Municipal Stadium. Mike Olt had both of the "˜Riders RBIs, stroking a pair of doubles, while Justin Grimm (5-1) picked up his fifth win of the year to tie for the Texas League lead.

Like Tuesday night, the "˜Riders got off to a fast start. Jurickson Profar extended his hitting streak to 13 games doubling past Missions centerfielder Reymond Fuentes. Following an Engel Beltre strikeout, Mike Olt drove him in with a double, and moved up to third after Fuentes misplayed the ball in the outfield.

With the "˜Riders leading 1-0, San Antonio had a chance to tie the game in the bottom of the inning. Leading off, Fuentes singled, and advanced to third on a base hit by Nate Freiman. A slow groundball by Jason Hagerty to shortstop looked promising after Profar's throw veered off line, but Mike Olt playing first made a great tag on the Missions catcher to end the inning.

Two frames later, Olt came through again, drilling his second double of the game off San Antonio starter Juan Oramas (1-4). The extra base hit allowed Engel Beltre to score, making it 2-0 Frisco.

The home team cut the "˜Riders lead in half in the fifth inning. Behind in the count 1-0, Justin Grimm hung a breaking ball to Cody Decker which the Missions DH drilled over the wall in left.

However that's all San Antonio's offense was able to muster, as the combination of Ross Wolf, Corey Young, and Joseph Ortiz combined to throw four scoreless innings in relief of Grimm. Working the ninth, Ortiz picked up his second save of the year.

Frisco and San Antonio play the third of four games Thursday night. Carlos Pimentel (2-1, 1.35) tosses for the "˜Riders, he will be opposed by Missions right-hander Keyvius Sampson (1-1, 4.50). First pitch is slated for 7:05, and can be heard on KKGM 1630 AM or on ridersbaseball.com. Pre-game coverage starts at 6:30.

The RoughRiders return home on Saturday, May 5, when the Midland RockHounds visit Dr Pepper Ballpark. To purchase tickets, fans can visit the box office or buy online at ridersbaseball.com.
