Edmonton, AB - The Calgary Roughnecks defeated the Edmonton Rush 9-6 Saturday evening at Crystal Glass Field at Rexall Place, clinching the West Division and top overall seed to secure home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Shawn Evans recorded a team-leading six points (4g, 2a), while Curtis Manning added four assists for the Roughnecks. Jeff Shattler (2g), Nolan Heavenor (2g) and Dane Dobbie completed the winning tally as Calgary swept the four-game season series.

Aaron Wilson (1g, 2a), Shawn Williams (1g, 2a) and Corey Small (3a) led the Rush with three points each, while Ryan Ward scored a goal and added an assist in the loss.

Frankie Scigliano made 38 saves for Calgary as the Roughnecks outshot the Rush 53-44. Geoff Snider collected 14 loose balls and won 14-of-18 face-offs.

Calgary now hosts Edmonton in the West Division Semi-Final on Saturday, May 5, 7:00 p.m. at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
