Amateur Baseball at Dow Diamond Begins Today

MIDLAND, MI - Beginning today (Monday, April 16), Dow Diamond will be hosting several amateur baseball games while the Great Lakes Loons hit the road during the months of April and May. Today's game between Swartz Creek and Gladwin High School is the first of 34 amateur games.

Other high school baseball teams such as Bay City Western, Midland High, H.H. Dow and Saginaw-Nouvel will grace the field at Dow Diamond, while Northwood University and Saginaw Valley State University will play a doubleheader on April 24. Listed below is the full schedule of games, all dates and times are subject to change.

"One of our goals is to make Dow Diamond available for as many community events as we can," Great Lakes Loons President and General Manager Paul Barbeau said. "We're excited to host a large number of amateur teams once again this year and allow some of the area's younger baseball talent to enjoy the ballpark."
