
Uher's OT Goal Ties Series 2-2

A thrilling overtime victory by the Spokane Chiefs evened their playoff series with the Tri-Cities Americans at two games a piece as Dominik Uher was the overtime hero scoring the winner at 6:28 of the extra session.
For the first time in the series the Chiefs scored first. Colin Valcourt scored his first of the playoffs, intercepting an American pass at the blue line and snapped a shot over the left shoulder of Ty Rimmer at 3:42 of the first.
The Chiefs power play came alive later in the first when Mitch Holmberg scored his ninth of the playoffs on a snapshot from the left face-off circle. The goal was scored at 11:13 of the period with assists going to Davis Vandane and Todd Fiddler.
The momentum shifted to Tri-Cities in the second period as they scored twice to even the score at two.
Derek Ryckman scored at the 3:00 mark off an Adam Hughesman assist.
Hughesman scored later in the period at 12:32 on the power play with Patrick Holland and Justin Feser picking up assists.
The two teams played even throughout the third period. Dylan Walchuk had the best opportunity of the period stealing a pass on his own blue line creating a breakaway which he shot off the post.
In the overtime period Uher received a pass from Colin Valcourt at the blue line and was able to use his backhand to skate around the Americans defense and beat Rimmer.
Spokane finished the game 1-4 on the power play and 4-5 on the penalty kill. Shots on goal favored the Chiefs 37-35.
Game five of the series will happen tomorrow night in Tri-Cities.
