Saint John Sea Dogs News Release

SAINT JOHN, N.B. - The Saint John Sea Dogs will be offering single-game tickets to the next playoff game for sale to the public beginning Thursday morning.

The Harbour Station box office will open at 10 a.m. Thursday to sell tickets to the team's next game in the President's Cup playoffs. The Sea Dogs lead their opening-round best-of-seven series against the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles 3-0 heading into Game 4 tonight. Should Cape Breton stave off elimination, tickets will be available Thursday for Game 5, which would be played at Harbour Station Friday at 7:30 p.m.

If the Sea Dogs sweep the series by winning tonight's game, tickets will be available Thursday for Games 1 and 2 of the second round. As the No. 1 seed in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League the Sea Dogs would hold home-ice advantage against the lowest-seeded team to advance and open the quarter-final series home on April 6 (7:30 p.m.) and April 7 (7 p.m.)

Fans are encouraged to get their tickets early as the Sea Dogs have enjoyed record attendance numbers in their seventh season. Saint John boasted the third-highest attendance in the league, behind only Quebec and Halifax, with 155,060 total fans. The team surpassed the million-fan mark for all-time regular-season attendance and had its best-ever per-game attendance average with 4,561.

The best-of-seven series continues Wednesday in Cape Breton. Saint John has scored 29 goals in the series, tying a team mark for goals in a series set against the Prince Edward Island Rocket in 2008. Tim Roszell will have the call on News 88.9 FM and fans can also catch all the action online via the official TELUS QMJHL webcast (click HERE to order; charges apply).
