Moncton Wildcats News Release
Moncton, NB - The Moncton Wildcats took on the Nathan MacKinnon lead Mooseheads tonight who beat the Bathurst Titan 7-0 the night before. The Wildcats have been on a 7 game losing streak going into tonight's game. They have been short staffed having been plagued by injuries. The guys played "Ëno excuses' hockey tonight and hammered the Mooseheads 7-1!
Goals came from Hrivik (2), Penny (2), Alex Saulnier, Deruelle and McGurty. The lone Halifax goal came from Cote. Attendance tonight was 6079, the Cats were 1/6 on the PP and the Moose were 0/2. Three stars were:
1. MON - 15 Marek Hrivik
2. MON - 21 Alex Saulnier
3. MON - 9 Ryan Penny
The Wildcats next home game is Wednesday March 14th vs. Cape Breton Screaming Eagles, game starts at 7PM. It is the last redemption night of the year so all season ticket holder that would like to donate their unused tickets to charity can drop them off at the Wildcats office.
