Cedar Park, TX - The Texas Stars went 1-1-0-0 over the past week, starting with a 2-1 loss at Abbotsford on Friday. Texas claimed the rematch in Abbotsford on Sunday, besting the Heat 4-1. Texas (25-28-2-2, 54 points) enters the week 11 points back of the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. The Stars have 19 games remaining, including 12 at Cedar Park Center and seven on the road.This Week's Games
Texas returns home to take on the Grand Rapids Griffins on Wednesday, March 7th at 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays' game is an H-E-B Night; fans may bring any HEB store brand non-perishable food item to the box office and receive $5 off their ticket price. It is also a Winning Wednesday; if the Stars win, every fan in attendance will receive a free ticket to the game on Monday, March 19th at 7:30 p.m. against Abbotsford. Later this week, the Stars will host Military Appreciation Weekend, presented by United Heritage Credit Union. To honor troops over the weekend, Texas will be wearing camouflage jerseys that fans may bid on during a silent auction on the concourse for charity. Friday night, Texas will host the San Antonio Rampage at 7:30 p.m. It will be a 3-2-1 Night, featuring $3 domestic drafts, $2 sodas and $1 hot dogs. On Saturday, March 10th, the two teams will meet again at 7:00 p.m. at Cedar Park Center. The first 3,000 fans to the game will receive a Texas Stars camouflage hat, presented by United Heritage Credit Union. Also, fans may purchase the State Farm Family Four Pack, composed of four tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas starting at $48. On Tuesday, March 13th, the Stars will host Grand Rapids at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night's game is also an H-E-B Night.

Texas 1 at Abbotsford 2 3/2/12
The Texas Stars were defeated by th e Abbotsford Heat 2-1 in front of 3,609 fans at the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre on Friday night. Heat forwards Krys Kolanos and Ben Walter each scored a power-play goal 2:27 apart in the first five minutes of the game and Abbotsford goalie Danny Taylor took care of the rest, stopping 22 of 23 Texas shots for the win.
Texas 4 at Abbotsford 1 3/4/12
The Texas Stars defeated th e Abbotsford Heat 4-1 in front of 2,403 fans at the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre on Sunday. Texas goalie Tyler Beskorwany paved the way to victory by stopping 30 of 31 Abbootsford shots, as the club ended an eight-game drought on the road. Left wing Luke Gazdic scored two third-period goals to help Texas pull away and improve to 11-19-0-1 on the road. Right wing Colton Sceviour had a power-play goal and an assist, as Texas picked up its first win in Abbotsford this season. Forward Francis Wathier also found the back of the net in the win. Abbotsford goalie Leland Irving suffered the loss with 32 saves.
