The Saskatoon Blades (35-25-0-1) are looking to put an end to a two game losing streak as they play host to the Kootenay Ice (33-20-4-4). The game is also being broadcast LIVE on Rogers Sportsnet across Canada!
The Blades are winners of 4 of their last 10 games and currently sit 6th in the WHL's Eastern Conference with 71 points. The Ice sit one spot ahead of the Blades in the standings with a total of 74 points.
The Blades are coming off of a 3-2 loss to the Lethbridge Hurricanes from Wednesday night.
The Blades jumped out to a solid start in the game, leading 2-1 after 20 minutes after a pair of goals by forward Ryan Olsen. After no scoring in the second period, the Blades took a 2-1 lead into that final frame.
That's when the Hurricanes scored two goals under two minutes apart to storm back and take the lead for good. The three Lethbridge goals in the game came from Philip Tot, Nick Buonassissi and Macoy Erkamps.
