Avon, Oh- After being named the 2011 Frontier League Clubhouse Manager of the Year, Nate Six is leaving the Crushers organization to pursue an opportunity with the New York Yankees organization.

Six, a native of the Pittsburgh area, traveled to Avon in each of the Crushers' first three seasons to manage the clubhouse for both the Crushers and the visiting teams. His long list of duties included uniform preparation, batting practice assistance, training assistant managers, and so much more. Six was also called upon to assist with special tasks given to him by the front office.

"Nate was so much more than a typical clubbie for us," said Vice President of Business Operations Daniel Helm. "We're so proud to have worked with him and excited to see where his future goes with the Yankees."

Six will spend the spring in Tampa, FL with the Yankees during their regular and extended spring training. He will then become the Clubhouse Manager for the Staten Island Yankees, the short-season Single-A affiliate of the New York Yankees.

The Lake Erie Crushers, the 2009 Frontier League Champions, play ball at All Pro Freight Stadium, a 5,000 capacity stadium located in Avon, OH.
