
Wildcats Sink the Drakkar

Moncton Wildcats News Release
Moncton, NB - The Moncton Wildcats were back at home for the second night in a row to take on the Baie Comeau Drakkar and to host the second edition of Super Saturday. This was a tight game the whole way through with a final score of 2-1 Cats. The Wildcats first goal came halfway through the first on the Power Play from Allain Saulnier with help from Patrick Delisle-Houde and his brother Alex Saulnier. Baie Comeau didn't find the back of the net until early in the third period. With a little more than a minute and a half left in the game and in the middle of a thunderous Go Cats Go chant Marek Hrivik redirected the winning goal!! Assists came from both Allain and Alex Saulnier. This was a great end to the game.
Tonight's attendance was 4760 and the 50/50 pot was $8,931. Darrel Carson went home with $4466!! Shots on goal were 38-19 in favor of Baie-Comeau. Moncton was 1/6 on the PP while Baie Comeau was 0/2. Three stars were:
1. MON - 29 Roman Will
2. BAC - 41 Tomas Filippi
3. MON - 15 Marek Hrivik
The Wildcats are back in action Tuesday at 7PM against the PEI Rocket. It will be Toonie Tuesday and all kids 12 and under will get in for only $2!!
