BOISE, Idaho, January 25, 2012 - The Idaho Stampede have acquired guard-forward Devin Green (6-7, 212, Hampton) from the Erie BayHawks in a three-way trade also including the Canton Charge. In the trade, Idaho sends their 2012 2nd round draft pick to Canton, while Erie gets Keith McLeod.
So far this season, Green has played in 11 games (11 starts) and averaged 14.9 points and 5.0 rebounds while shooting 47.6 percent from the field and 80.8 percent from the free throw line with Erie. Green has played two other seasons in the D-League, both with the Los Angeles D-Fenders from 2006-08. Green's career D-League averages are 16.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.4 steals in 35.5 minutes in 49 games (49 starts).
Born Oct. 25, 1982, Green has one season under his belt in the NBA, playing 27 games with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2005-06. He averaged 0.9 points and 0.9 rebounds in 5.0 minutes per game.
Since then, Green has played in Germany, Italy, Belgium and Bulgaria, while also going to summer camp with the Lakers, Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs, Minnesota Timberwolves and, before this season, the New York Knicks.
Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Green played three seasons at Hampton University, where he averaged 14.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.5 steals in 31.8 minutes per game in 90 games from 2002-05.
The Idaho Stampede roster currently stands at 8, with the waiving of Kevin Galloway and Mildon Ambres.
