DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Fighting Saints will aim to finish 2011 on a high note tonight, taking on the Fargo Force at 6:05 p.m. in search of their second consecutive victory. Goaltender Matt Morris and the Fighting Saints team defense shut out the Sioux Fall Stampede last night in Dubuque, while the offense scored four goals - two on the powerplay, in the win. The Fighting Saints accomplished this despite dressing only nineteen out of a possible twenty players due to injury, illness, suspension, and players competing in international tournaments.

The Force, whom the Fighting Saints defeated in the Western Conference semi-finals in 2010-11, have struggled to find consistency throughout the 2011-12 season. Lately, they have been on the winning side more often than not, emerging victorious in five of their last seven games, including a 5-2 win over Chicago on the road last night. Forward Austin Farley leads the way offensively, ranking third in points in the USHL with 33 (17 goals, 16 assists).

Tonight's game concludes a stretch of three home games in four days for the Fighting Saints. The Fighting Saints homestand of six games will close on Friday, January 6, when the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders travel to the Key City for a 7:35 p.m. matchup.

Pregame starts at 5:40 p.m. on Dubuque's Super Hits 106 and SuperHits106.com.
