Moncton Wildcats News Release
The Wildcats came out flying in the first period scoring two goals from Allain Saulnier and Patrick Delisle-Houde. Shots after the first were 11-10 for Halifax. The second period was a penalty filled 20 minutes with Halifax scoring three goals, two of them on the powerplay. The Mooseheads went into the 2nd intermission with a 3-2 lead. The third period was a tight affair with the Cats tying the game with a goal from Erik Robichaud late in the third forcing overtime. The five minute overtime didn't solve anything so the game went to a shootout.
The cats took the game 4-3 in front of a very boisterous crowd of 4696. Shots on goal were 37-30 in favor of Halifax. Roman Will recorded the win. Moncton was 1/7 on the PP while Halifax was 2/6. Three starts were:
1. MON - 8 Patrick Delisle-Houde
2. HAL - 79 Brent Andrews
3. MON - 18 Scott Trask
