Moncton Wildcats News Release
The Wildcats came out flying in the first period scoring three goals in a row early in the period for the second night in a row. Goals came from Marek Hrivik, Allain Saulnier & Alex Saulnier respectively. Shots after the first were 19-5. The second period had two more Wildcat goals from Brandon Shea and Marek Hrivik with his second goal of the night, his second two goal performance in as many games. Cape Breton scored late in the third period to break the shutout, however the Cats walked away with another huge win with a final score of 5-1. This brings the Cats to 13-11-1 with 27 points, good for 8th in the league.
Shots on goal were 39-29 Moncton. Roman Will recorded the win. Moncton was 2/5 on the PP while Cape Breton was 0/3. Three starts were:
1. MON - 15 Marek Hrivik
2. MON - 3 Brandon Gormley
3. MON - 29 Roman Will
The Wildcats presented a cheque to Greg Fash of the Canadian Cancer Foundation tonight in the amount of $6900. The Wildcats would like to thank all of our fans for making this possible! The Cats are back in action Thursday at 7PM at the Moncton Coliseum against the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies.
