
B-Sens Reassign Forward Max Gratchev to Elmira

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators announced today that they have reassigned forward Max Gratchev to the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL.
Gratchev, 23, skated in Binghamton's 5-4 overtime loss to the Syracuse Crunch Friday night, recording no points.
The 5-11, 198-pound left wing spent the 2010-11 season with Cherepovets Severstal of the Kontinental Hockey League where he recorded 16 penalty minutes in 13 games.
Gratchev has appeared in 32 career American Hockey League games with Binghamton, Bridgeport and Hershey, recording nine points (four goals, five assists) and 18 penalty minutes.
Prior to turning pro, the Russian born left wing played five seasons (2004-09) in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, skating for Lewiston, Quebec and Rimouski. In 282 career QMJHL games, Gratchev posted 212 points (92 goals, 120 assists) and added 377 penalty minutes.
Gratchev was the New York Islanders' fourth-round selection, 106th overall, in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
The B-Sens travel to Wilkes-Barre tonight to take on the Penguins at 7:05 p.m. Fans can listen live on "Binghamton's Classic Hits" BIG 107.5 (WBBI-FM) beginning 30 minutes before game time for Countdown to Faceoff with Grady Whittenburg, the voice of the B-Sens.
