Saint John Sea Dogs News Release
VICTORIAVILLE, QUE. - The Saint John Sea Dogs ended their three-game Quebec road trip on a sour note, dropping a 7-0 decision to the Victoriaville Tigres.
Victoriaville brought Saint John's winning streak to an end at five games, which included road wins Wednesday in Boisbriand and Friday in Drummondville. It was the first time the Dogs have been shut out in nearly two years. The last came Oct. 13, 2009 at the hands of the Prince Edward Island Rocket, a loss Saint John followed up with a team record 22 straight wins.
Mathieu Corbeil stopped 12 of 15 shots and took his first loss of the season as the Dogs fell to 5-4. Charlie Millen came on in relief of Corbeil, who was making his fifth straight start. Millen made 17 saves on 21 shots.
Yannick Dube and Brandon Hynes had two goals each for Victoriaville. Carl-Antoine Delisle, Danick Emond and Pierre-Luc Pelletier added singles and David Honzik made 30 saves for the shutout win.
Victoriaville went 3-for-7 on the power play while Saint John was 0-for-4.
