Chivas USA to Partner with LA's Best and Consul General of Mexico in Los Angeles for Health Festival

Carson, CA. ( Friday, September 30, 2011 ) - Chivas USA announced today that it will partner with LA's Best After School Enrichment Program and Consul General of Mexico in Los Angeles to host the Annual LA's Best Health Fair this Sunday October 2 prior to the Chivas USA vs. Philadelphia Union match at The Home Depot Center starting at 12:30 pm.

The LA's BEST Family Health Festival was designed to promote the importance of getting fit and eating well among children and families served by the LA's BEST after school program. This free festival is a fun-filled event with a variety of hands-on activities that delight and inform participants; including healthy snack-making booths, physical fitness activities, arts and crafts booths, nutrition education demonstrations, and free dental and medical screenings. The 5,000 attendees will be joined by recording star Master P and Chivas USA Owner Operator and President Antonio Cue, as well as young stars such as Janelle Ortiz of the Disney film "Prom," Jimmy Bennett of ABC's "No Ordinary Family," Dillon Lane, star of Nickelodeon's "Bucket & Skinner's Epic Adventures," and Cymphonique, recording artist and star of Nickelodeon's upcoming series "How to Rock."

The Festival is a signature event of BEST Fit, a culturally-relevant health and fitness program of LA's BEST. The goal of BEST Fit is to provide fun and innovative opportunities for children and their families to develop healthy eating habits, make physical activity a daily part of their lives, and encourage them to be advocates for a healthy future.
