SANDY, Utah (Friday, September 30, 2011) - Real Salt Lake (15-9-6, 51 pts.; 3rd in West) will look to put an end to its two-game skid tomorrow night, Saturday, October 1 against the LA Galaxy (17-3-10, 61 pts.; 1st in West) when it kicks off a three game road trip in Carson, California. Kick off at The Home Depot Center is set for 8:30 p.m. MT for a contest that will be televised live on KMYU 2.2 (Comcast 22 / Dish Network 12) and can be heard on Rock 99.1 (English) and Juan 1600-AM (Spanish).
In addition, RSL fanatics are invited to join up to view the game at any of the Official ESPN 700 Watch Parties for Real Salt Lake, taking place at all six 'Bout Time Pub & Grub locations across the Salt Lake valley.

The three goals in the first 21 minutes marked the fastest start to a 3-0 lead, surpassing the trio of first-half goals scored in 30 minutes on July 23, 2005 (v DAL) and in 41 minutes on March 26, 2011 (v LA) ... RSL History v. LA Galaxy
Over the course of RSL's 18-game history against the Galaxy, it has been incredibly even between the two sides that have proven to be MLS Cup contenders year in and year out... While the regular season series is split down the middle at 7-6-6, the Claret-and-Cobalt has the overall edge on the Galaxy thanks to defeating the Galaxy in the 2009 MLS Cup, which was the lone postseason meeting between the two sides... The Galaxy own the series record at home, going 5-3-1 against RSL at the Home Depot Center, with a 13 to 14 edge in goal differential in Carson, CA... The two sides met at Rio Tinto Stadium back on March 26 when the Claret-and-Cobalt jumped out to an early lead in the 2nd minute and never looked back.
