
Wildcats Win in Halifax

Moncton Wildcats News Release
Halifax, NS - The Moncton Wildcats beat the Halifax Mooseheads 4-2 Saturday night at the Halifax Metro Center. The Wildcats came out strong in the third with a key goal on the PP 25 seconds into the period by Allain Salunier. Allian followed that up with an insurance marker with less than 1:30 in the game. The Cats got goals from two other players in the victory with Patrick Delisle-Houde opening the scoring in the first period followed up by Marek Hrivik to tie the game at 2-2 after goals by Gabriel Desjardins and Nathan MacKinnon respectively. Patrick Downe and Cameron MacDonald had excellent games ensuring the Wildcat win.
The Wildcats outshot the Mooseheads 25-20 with Roman Will playing a very good game recording the win. Moncton was 2/3 on the PP while the Mooseheads were 2/5 on the PP. Attendance at the game was 5884 and three stars were:
1. MON - 15 Marek Hrivik
2. HAL - 44 Steve Gillard
3. MON - 19 Allain Saulnier
The Wildcats next home game is Thursday September 22nd when they welcome the Val D'or Foreurs to the Moncton Coliseum. Note the game time is at 7:00PM.
