Syracuse, NY - The Syracuse Chiefs, the Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, are proud to announce that a clinic for children in Syracuse's Inner City Little League will be held at Alliance Bank Stadium on Tuesday, August 9.

The clinic will be conducted in conjunction with the Syracuse R.B.I. program, which is a joint venture of the City of Syracuse Department of Parks, Recreation, and Youth Services and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Syracuse. Children ages 8-15 that are involved with any of the aforementioned organizations are invited to participate and should contact the Boys and Girls Clubs, the Parks Department or the Inner City Little League to register.

The event will take place on the playing field from 11:00am-1:00pm for children ages 8-12 and from 1:00pm-3:00pm for children ages 13-15 and will include instruction from Chiefs players as well as Roberto Clemente, Jr., who will be in town for the Chiefs' "Noche de Beisbol Latino" promotion the night before. In addition, members of the Chiefs' front office staff will speak to the participants about careers in baseball. Interim Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Syracuse David McDonough is scheduled to address the participants as well.

"We are pleased to host a clinic for the members of the Inner City Little League," said Chiefs General Manager John Simone. "Our organization prides itself on being a constant, positive presence in the community and this event is one more way for our staff and players to show our support."

The Chiefs and Buffalo Bisons will meet for the final game of their two-game set on Tuesday night after the clinic, with a 7:00pm scheduled start time. Tickets for Tuesday's game and all remaining Chiefs home games can be purchased in person at the Chiefs ticket office at Alliance Bank Stadium, by calling 315-474-7833, or online at SyracuseChiefs.com.
