Kinston, NC (April 26, 2011) - Tuesday's matchup between the Salem Red Sox and the Kinston Indians was postponed due to rain in eastern North Carolina. Consequently, the Sox and K-Tribe will square off in a Wednesday doubleheader beginning at 4:30 PM at Grainger Stadium.
In game one, lefthander Drake Britton will make his fourth start for Salem opposite Kinston's Clayton Cook, while game two will feature righthander Tom Ebert making his second straight spot start against Indians' lefty Geovanni Soto. Both games will be seven-inning contests.
Salem improved to a Carolina League best 12-4 on Monday night by prevailing 7-3 in the series opener over Kinston. The Red Sox return to LewisGale Field for a 10-game homestand beginning with a Fireworks Friday night at Salem Memorial Ballpark.
