Salt Lake Bees News Release
SALT LAKE CITY (April 21, 2011) - The Salt Lake Bees and Orbit Irrigation, in conjunction with Salt Lake County's "One Million Trees for One Million People" initiative, will give out 1,000 free saplings to fans at the Bees game on Monday, April 25. Game time is 6:35 p.m.
The "One Million Trees for One Million People" initiative is a 10-year campaign to plant one million trees in Salt Lake County by 2017, growing a community forest that offers a wealth of benefits throughout the county. Trees provide advantages ranging from higher property values to energy savings and cleaner air, to improved water quality and flood control. Trees enhance the beauty, comfort, health, and sustainability of neighborhoods and communities. The campaign is designed to involve the youngest children and the oldest citizens in the regeneration of Salt Lake County's urban landscape.

In addition to providing fans with free trees, Orbit Irrigation, one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of irrigation and watering products in the world, also offers water conservation tips at orbitonline.com. Founded more than 40 years ago in the Salt Lake City area, Orbit distributes more than 2,000 products to landscapers, gardeners, and homeowners in 40 countries across five continents.
The Salt Lake Bees continue a four-game road series tonight against the Las Vegas 51s at 8:05 p.m. The team returns home Saturday, April 23 to take on the Tacoma Rainiers at 6:35 p.m. at Spring Mobile Ballpark with a postgame fireworks show.
