Philadelphia Union News Release
Chester, Pa. (March 24, 2011) - Philadelphia Union has reached a multi-year agreement with Harrah's Chester in Chester, Pa., the team announced today. Harrah's Chester, located just two miles north of PPL Park on Pennsylvania State Route 291, will be the official post-game party location after all Union home games.
"Harrah's Chester and PPL Park are two wonderful additions to the Chester Waterfront and the fact that we are located in such close proximity to one another made this partnership a natural fit," said Philadelphia Union CEO & Operating Partner Nick Sakiewicz. "This relationship will undoubtedly help us in our goal of making the Chester Waterfront a destination for people of all ages."
In addition to being deemed the official post-game party location, Harrah's Chester will also enjoy promotional branding rights within PPL Park and in-game promotions. One of those feature promotions, "Harrah's Lucky Row," will award prizes to ticket holders of one row selected at random for each home game.
"We are excited to partner with the Philadelphia Union," said Harrah's Chester Senior Vice President and General Manager Ron Baumann. "The addition of Major League Soccer to the City of Chester is a major milestone and we are thrilled to be working together with the Union to offer additional entertainment options to the entire Delaware Valley."
Harrah's Chester will also be featured prominently on the club's website, as the company will run extensive consumer and web promotions throughout the season.
The Union open up the 2011 PPL Park season this Saturday, March 26th, against MLS newcomer Vancouver Whitecaps.
