Rod Hill Inducted into Kentucky Pro Football Hall of Fame

WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers would like to congratulate former defensive back Rod Hill on his induction into the Kentucky Pro Football Hall of Fame. Hill attended Kentucky State College and then went on to have an outstanding professional football career.

Hill is entering the Hall of Fame with prestigious company as joining him are current Arizona Cardinals' safety Kerry Rhodes, two-time Superbowl champion quarterback Phil Simms, former player and coach Dale Lindsey and former standout lineman Lou Michaels.

Hill was a first round draft pick by the Dallas Cowboys in 1982 after a tremendous collegiate career at Kentucky State College. He spent six years in the NFL with the Cowboys, the Buffalo Bills, the Detroit Lions and the Los Angeles Raiders before signing with Winnipeg in 1988 and winning two Grey Cup championships. Hill still holds the Blue Bomber records for most career interceptions (47) and most interceptions in one game with five. He was named a CFL All-Star in 1989 and 1990.
