NEW YORK, Nov. 11, 2010 - The NBA D-League, its teams, and players tipped off the Annual NBA D-League Cares Week of Service for the 2010-11 season on Nov. 7. NBA D-League teams will host a variety of hands-on service events through Nov. 14 in a collaborative effort to give back to children, families, and the community and to increase fan awareness about the importance of service.

During the weekend of November 12-14, Borders Bookstore, 350 N. Milwaukee St., Suite 1406, Boise, ID 83704, is hosting a benefit weekend for the Idaho Stampede Community Foundation, highlighted by a reading event to be held Saturday, Nov. 13 from 2-3 p.m.

A Stampede coach and player, along with AAA Rumble and Stampede Spirit Dance team members will attend the event and hand out vouchers that will help underprivileged children in the Treasure Valley attend a Stampede home game in the 2010-11 season. Vouchers are also available by calling the Stampede offices at 208-388-4667.
