Springfield Armor Trade for Scottie Reynolds

November 2, 2010 - NBA G League (G League) - Springfield Armor News Release

SPRINGFIELD, MA Nov. 2, 2010 - The Springfield Armor today announced a trade with the Tulsa 66ers. The Armor are sending their first round pick next season (2011) to Tulsa in return for Tulsa Guard, Scottie Reynolds. Reynolds was the 13th pick overall in the 2010 Draft.

The 6-2 Reynolds is coming off First-Team All-America honors at Villanova in 2009-10 and an impressive stint for the Phoenix Suns at the Las Vegas Summer League. Reynolds opted to head to Italy instead of going to camp with the Suns, but he has returned to America after playing in only four games with Prima Veroli. Reynolds is an excellent scorer and three-point shooter but may use the NBA D-League to further develop his point guard skills, which is where his NBA future lies. Scottie averaged 16.0 ppg over his four seasons and completed his career as Villanova's No. 2 all-time scorer with 2,222 points and 482 assists.

"This was an extremely exciting trade for this organization and the team as a whole" said Head Coach Dee Brown, "Bringing an All-American like Scottie Reynolds to Springfield is a big step for us and we're looking forward to seeing him display his skills in the MassMutual Center this season."

The Armor will play their home opener on Friday, November 26th when they host the Maine Red Claws at 7 p.m. Individual tickets for all Springfield Armor home games can be purchased at the MassMutual Center Box Office located at 1277 Main Street in Springfield.
