Peterborough Petes News Release
Peterborough Petes announced today that they have traded Overage Forward Liam Heelis to the Owen Sound Attack in exchange for a 4th round draft pick in 2012.
Heelis, a native of Georgetown Ontario was selected by the Petes in the 10th round of the 2006 OHL Priority Selection. In 164 OHL games Liam has recorded 31 goals and 55 points with 153 penalty minutes. Last season Liam set career highs with 18 goals and 31 points.
"I would like to thank Liam for his three plus years as a Peterborough Pete. Liam has always displayed a high level of commitment and hard work while being a member of our organization. We wish Liam the best of luck in Owen Sound" says Petes General Manager David Reid.
