Condors in the Community: Condors to Take Part in Worlds Largest Water Balloon Fight

This Week In Condorstown:

Wednesday, August 25

Condors mascotBaby Cal will be on the ice with the In-house Mites and Dragon Mites at the BakersfieldIce Sports Center starting at 5:15 p.m. Cal will be learning the basics of playing hockey right alongside the Mites. For information on all the hockey programs, both youth and adult, contact the Ice Sports Center at 852-7400.

The "Voice of the Condors" Kevin Bartl will be a guest on ESPN Radio 1230's "There It Is: The Jake Stevens Show" at 5:10 pm to talk about the Condors new affiliation, which will be announced earlier that day.

Saturday, August 28

The Condors will be out at Yokuts Park to help support the Bakersfield High School Band Boosters in host of the Worlds Largest Water Balloon Fight.The Carnival is from 12 to 5 pm where the Condors Slapshot Booth will be set up as well as food, raffle prizes, and the dunk tank for guests. Balloons Fly at 6 pm!

Wednesday, Sept. 15

The annual Condors Job Fairwill be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at Rabobank Arena, located at 1001 Truxtun Ave. The Condors are hiring game-night positions for Mascots, Program Sales, Promotions Team, Kids Zone, Chuck-A-Puck Sales, Merchandise and more. Those interested may fill out an application in the Condors front office (1001 Truxtun Ave.) prior to the Job Fair to secure an early interview appointment.

Thursday, Sept. 16

The Condors will be holding Anthem Tryoutsfrom 3 to 7 pm to find vocal artists and other musicians to perform the Star Spangled Banner and occasionally the Canadian National Anthem at Condors games throughout the season.

Saturday, Oct. 2

October 2 is the date for the 2010 Condors Open House & Family Day. The annual event will take place from Noon - 3 p.m. at the Bakersfield Ice Sports Center, and is your first chance to see the 2010-11 Condors squad in action. Plus, all season ticket holders may pick up their ticket packages and fans can meet the team.

Condors Kids Club:

Sign-ups are officially underway for the 2010-11 Condors Kids Club! Membership includes tickets to six games, Kids Club backpack, official ID badge, exclusive Kids Club Party with the players, and free access to the kids zone all season long, a $160 value for only $20! For families with more than one child the Condors offer a Have a Sibling Special, which allows for every child, after the first child, to sign-up for only $15!

If you're interested in getting any of our mascots, Colonel Claw'd, Baby Cal or Slapshot, the inflatable Slapshot Booth or the Condors prize wheel out to your camp, youth program, school or other event, call the Condors office at 324-PUCK (7825).
