
Gladiators Trade Adam Berti to Bakersfield

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that they have traded forward Adam Berti to the Bakersfield Condors in exchange for future considerations.
Berti played with the Gladiators for the past two seasons. He served as team captain during parts of both seasons. Last year with the Gladiators, Berti collected a career best 57 points (16 goals, 41 assists) in 66 games.
The Oshawa, Ontario, native joined the Gladiators midway through the 2008-09 season following the suspension of operations of the Fresno Falcons. He earned 43 points (13 goals, 30 assists) in 68 games with Gwinnett and Fresno.
Berti made his NHL debut with the Chicago Blackhawks in his second professional season in 2007-08 season. He did not register a point in two games with Chicago. He appeared in 4 games with Pensacola and had five points (two goals, three assists) and earned seven points (2 goals, 5 assists) with the Rockford IceHogs in 42 games during the season.
The 6-foot-3, 207-pound forward had 12 points (six goals, six assists) in 42 games with the Norfolk Admirals in his rookie season in 2006-07.
Berti was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 3rd round of the 2004 NHL entry draft with the 68th overall selection.
The Gwinnett Gladiators open the 2010-11 season on the road before returning home to host the South Carolina Stingrays on Friday, October 22nd at 7:35 p.m. The Gladiators are the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
