There's only 10 home games remaining in the 2010 regular season and the Kernels return to Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Wednesday, August 18th for a seven game home stand. Here's a preview of what you can expect these next seven games:

August 18-20 vs. Kane County Cougars

The Kernels return to Perfect Game Field and open a seven game home series with four games against the Kane County Cougars, the Midwest League affiliate of the Oakland Athletics. It's a Mix 96.5 FM/WMT AM 600 Winning Wednesday, where a lucky fan, age 18 and older, could win $10,000 if the Kernels perform a certain feat in the correct inning. Gates open at 5:30 and the Kernels take on Kane County at 6:35 pm.

Are you ready for some football? How about the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders? Yes, the world-famous Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders return to Perfect Game Field on Thursday, August 19th as part of NFL Night and will perform four times during the game and be available for autographs and photos on the concourse for 45 minutes following their performance. It's also 100.7 The Fox Thirsty Thursday where 12 oz. draft beer is just $1.50 and 20 oz. bottled soda and water is two dollars all game. Get here when the gates open at 5:30 pm and wear your favorite NFL gear for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and Thirsty Thursday. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 pm.

It's Margaritaville at the ballpark on Friday, August 20th on Jimmy Buffett Night. The gates open at 5:00 pm as every fan through the gates receives a free lei. Wear your flip-flops and Hawaiian shirts and enjoy the sounds of the Cedar Island Band performing before the game. Its Rock 108 Progressive Beer Friday - 16 oz. draft beer is $1 starting at 5:30 and goes up a dollar each hour until reaching full price. The Kernels and Cougars play at 6:35 pm and the Kernels are wearing special jerseys that will be sold during the game via a silent auction. Then, celebrate a Kernels victory with another performance by the Cedar Island Band after the game.

August 21-24 vs. Wisconsin Timber Rattlers

The Kernels continue a seven game home stand against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, the Midwest League affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday, August 21st. It's one of the biggest nights of the season - Cargill/Special Olympics Night. Browse the huge selection of silent auction items, including a variety of gift and themed baskets, with the proceeds to benefit Special Olympics. Then, following a Kernels win over the Timber Rattlers, the skies light up with a tremendous fireworks show, presented by Cargill and J&M Displays. Gates open at 5:30 and first pitch between the Kernels and Timber Rattlers is set for 6:35 pm.

Sunday is always a fun day and August 22nd is no exception! First, the Kernels welcome all the 1,000 Minute Readers that took part in the Kernels Summer Reading Program, presented by Toyota Financial Services. Fans can get autographs on the field with the Kernels before the game from 1:20 until 1:40 pm as part of 104.5 KDAT Sunday Family Day. Meet Papa Balloon and GSE's Storybook Princess Cinderella and Prince Charming on the concourse during the game. It's the final day the Kernels are wearing special red Angels jerseys, presented by Xquisite Limo. The jerseys have been available for bid during the season via a silent auction and August 22nd is the final day to place your bids as the jerseys will be sold off the player's backs with the proceeds to benefit the Kernels and Angels Foundations. It's also our second Bark in the Park where fans can bring their dogs to the game by purchasing a special 'Doggy' ticket. Proceeds from all the dog tickets will be donated to Iowa Disaster Dogs. And, if this day wasn't enough, fans can run the bases and play catch in the outfield after the game, thanks to Beef O'Brady's. Gates open at 1:00 pm and the Kernels take on Wisconsin at 2:05 pm.

The Kernels and Timber Rattlers continue their four game set on Monday, August 23rd at 6:35 pm with the gates opening at 5:30 pm.

104.5 KDAT Sunday Family Fun Day: Every Sunday home game, enjoy selected snacks for $1. Fans can get autographs from the Kernels players on the concourse from 1:20 to 1:40 pm. Play Travel Advisors Baseball Vacation Bingo for a chance to win a trip to see an Angels game. And after the game, kids (and adults) can run the bases and play catch on the field. Mix 96.5 FM/WMT AM 600 Winning Wednesday: A lucky Kernels fan, age 18 and older, could win $10,000 on Winning Wednesday, when the Kernels perform a certain feat in an inning such as hit for the cycle as a team, or the shortstop makes all three outs in the inning.

100.7 The Fox Thirsty Thursday: 12 oz. draft beer is $1.50 all game and get bottled soda and water for $2.

Rock 108 FM Progressive Beer Friday: 16 oz. draft beer starts at $1 when the gates open and goes up $1 an hour until reaching full price.

The Kernels Ticket Office is open from 10 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday and from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday. The ticket office is closed on Sunday, but opens at 11 am on Kernel Sunday Home games.
