-SPIKES HEAD TO ABERDEEN TONIGHT: The State College Spikes start the second half of a six-game road trip tonight as they take on the Aberdeen IronBirds at Ripken Stadium. Tonight's game will start at 7:35 p.m. tonight due to the ceremonies surrounding the Cal Ripken World Series, also being played in Aberdeen this weekend. The IronBirds lead the all-time series, 9-3. State College has only won one game at Ripken Stadium in its history.

-LAST GAME: Colton Cain, Kevin Decker and Jason Townsend combined to produce the Spikes' fourth shutout win of the season in a 1-0 victory over Lowell on Thursday night. State College scored the lone run of the game on an error in the second inning, as Matt Curry crossed the plate via an errant throw on an attempted double play.

-FEUSSER LOOKS TO SPARK SPIKES: Left-hander Zac Fuesser makes his seventh start of the year, and his 11th overall appearance, tonight for State College. Last time out, Fuesser allowed three runs in 3.2 innings to Tri-City in a loss. The southpaw from York, SC also has a save to his credit this season, and a road ERA of just 2.91.

-SEXTON STARTS SET FOR 'BIRDS: Aberdeen will send left-hander Tyler Sexton to the mound on Friday to start the three-game series. Sexton yielded seven runs, six earned, on five hits and three walks over 4.2 innings at Mahoning Valley last time out. The High Point, NC native has a 12.38 ERA in the first inning, but lefties hit just .250 against him.

-THREE SPIKES NAMED TO NYPL ALL-STAR TEAM: Three Spikes will represent the club in the New York-Penn League All-Star Game on August 17th at Staten Island. Infielder Matt Curry, outfielder Adalberto Santos and left-handed pitcher Jhonathan Ramos will all be on the National League squad at the game. Curry is currently leading the league in on-base percentage in the NYPL with a .427 mark, and Santos is tied for second in runs scored with 37.
