Calgary Stampeders News Release
The Calgary Stampeders travel to Vancouver to take on the BC Lions at Empire Field on Saturday, Aug. 7. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. (MDT).
The Stampeders are seeking their third win in a row after last week's 23-20 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at McMahon Stadium while the Lions are looking to turn things around after a 28-25 loss in Week 5 to the Eskimos in Edmonton.
This is the first of four matchups between the Lions and Stamps this season, with two of the Stamps' next three games in Vancouver. The Stampeders have won the six most recent meetings between the clubs, including all three contests against the Leos in 2009.
The next home game for the Stamps is Sunday, Aug. 15 against the Edmonton Eskimos as the Red and White celebrate the 1970s as part of the CFL's Retro program. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. and tickets are still available by contacting the Stampeders' Ticket Office (403-289-0258 or toll free at 1-800-667-3267), Ticketmaster (403.777.0000 or online at Ticketmaster.ca) or by visiting any local Safeway or Sport Chek location.
