Lake Monsters eBay Auction Includes BP Vs. Bill Lee/Oil Can Boyd

BURLINGTON, VT --- The Vermont Lake Monsters are holding an EBay Auction this week, highlighted by the chance to take batting practice off either former Major League pitcher Bill Lee or Oil Can Boyd this Saturday, as part of a six-game homestand at historic Centennial Field July 14-19.

Along with the chances to bid on the chance to take BP off either Lee or Boyd, other auction items include a Johnny Pesky autographed baseball, a 2010 Lake Monsters team autographed baseball and a Mike Lowell autographed bat. Proceeds from the EBay Auction will benefit the Lake Monsters "Share The Experience" program, which welcomes many youth programs and charitable organizations to a Vermont game at Centennial throughout the season.

The Lake Monsters begin a six-game homestand on Wednesday which will include a pair of three-game series against the Aberdeen Ironbirds (Baltimore Orioles affiliate) and the Staten Island Yankees (New York Yankees affiliate). The homestand opens at 7:05 pm on July 14th with Delta Dental Tootbrush giveaway for the first 1,000 fans.

Thursday will be the first Centennial Field morning game in Lake Monsters history as Vermont hosts Aberdeen at 11:05 am and the first 1,000 fans will receive a free waterbottle courtesy of Pizza Putt. The series finale at 7:05 pm on Friday is the annual "Summer of Love" sponsored by Ben & Jerry's/Linking Learning to Life.

The Yankees come to Vermont for a Saturday 6:05 pm game with a special appearance by former Boston Red Sox and Montreal Expos pitchers Bill Lee and Oil Can Boyd to sign autographs for all fans in attendance. Sunday's 1:05 pm game is Pretty In Pink! Cancer Awareness Day, while the homestand concludes with Comcast Family Night on Monday against Staten Island at 7:05 pm.
