MOBILE, Ala. - The Arizona Diamondbacks have called up BayBears right-hander Barry Enright to make his major league debut on Wednesday afternoon at Busch Stadium in St. Louis against the Cardinals as the D-backs wrap up their three-game series.

Enright is 4-1 with a 2.88 ERA this season for the BayBears in 14 starts. He has a staff-leading 83 strikeouts which is second in the Southern League while posting 93.2 innings. He's only walked 15 this year and has put together quality starts in 11 of his 14 outings. He was named the Diamondbacks Minor League Pitcher of the Month in May.

Enright will replace Edwin Jackson in the D-backs' starting rotation as Jackson's scheduled start has been pushed back to Friday in an effort to allow him a little more rest after tossing 149 pitches in his no-hitter against the Tampa Bay Rays last Friday.

Enright is the first member of the 2010 BayBears to appear in the big leagues. There were four BayBears that were promoted from Double-A Mobile straight to the majors last year including Gerardo Parra, Bryan Augenstein, Daniel Schlereth and Clay Zavada.

The BayBears will battle the Montgomery Biscuits at Hank Aaron Stadium on Wednesday night at 7:05 with right-hander Bryan Henry getting the start in Enright's place. For tickets, which start at $5 for kids and $7 for adults, please call (251) 479-BEAR or log on to www.mobilebaybears.com.
