
Stamps Launch Legacy Series On Stampeders.com

As the Calgary Stampeders celebrate their 65th anniversary in 2010 as well as the 50th anniversary of McMahon Stadium, the football club is pleased to announce a new feature on Stampeders.com that chronicles and celebrates the Red and White's proud history and tradition.
Bill Powers, a legendary figure in the Calgary sports community and a very familiar voice for Stampeders fans, is the author of a series of articles on the Stampeders' 65-year legacy. The series recently debuted with a profile on outstanding quarterback Doug Flutie.
Powers, who over nearly two decades served as play-by-play man, colour analyst and host for the Stampeders' broadcasts on CHQR, will write regular articles on the great players and events in team history that will appear throughout the season on Stampeders.com.
