Rio Grande Valley Vipers News Release
MCALLEN, TEXAS - The NBA Development League Champion Rio Grande Valley Vipers announced today that athletic trainer/strength & conditioning coach Joe Resendez will serve as the physiotherapist for the Great Britain Futures Team this summer.
The Futures team is made up of younger players on the cusp of making the Great Britain Senior Team.
"I'm excited to bring Joe into the GB program. He will be a benefit to this new part of our organization, the Futures Team. It will also be a great chance for Joe to experience the international game, albeit at the junior level," Vipers and Great Britain Basketball head coach Chris Finch said.
In addition to performing his normal physiotherapy duties, Resendez will be involved in basketball operations and management.
"I'm excited to have the opportunity to gain experience at an international level and continue to work with Chris. It's another great opportunity for me to apply my skills at a different level of basketball," Resendez said.
Resndez leaves on Saturday to work with the Futures Team, which begins in London and then will travel to Lille, France, to play against France, Belgium and Luxembourg.
