unday's game between the Birmingham Barons and the Huntsville Stars was postponed after a 90-minute rain delay. The schedule 2:05 PM contest never got under way with rain threatening the Regions Park area.
A double-header is scheduled for Monday, May 3 with the first game starting at 5:00 PM and the second contest beginning 30 minutes following the conclusion of game one. Both games are scheduled for seven innings. Gates for the double-header will open at 4:30 PM.
Fans with tickets to Sunday's game can use their ticket stubs for admission to any future Barons game this season. Fans must present the ticket stub in advance at the Joe Drake Ticket Office at Regions Park.
Sunday's scheduled starter, Charlie Shirek (1-0, 0.69) will take the ball in the first game opposite Mark Rogers (1-2, 4.50). Justin Cassel (0-1, 3.38) will pitch game two against Mike Jones (0-1, 6.43).
