
Fans Invited To Join Players In 'Stormin' The Lake' Saturday

SEATTLE, Thursday, April 29, 2010 - The Seattle Storm today announced that "Stormin' the Lake" will take place from 2-4 p.m. this Saturday, May 1 at Seattle's Green Lake Park. Fans will have the opportunity to interact with Storm coaches and players from the 2010 roster and participate in activities including face-painting, Storm locker room sign-creating, snow-cone making, water balloon toss games, shooting hoops on the Storm court and learning dance moves from the Storm Dance Troupe.
The festivities are scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. on the Green Lake Community Center outdoor basketball courts, with the players and coaches scheduled to arrive at 2:45 p.m. and activities starting at 3 p.m. This is the fourth year the Storm has held a preseason Fan Fest at Green Lake, and the event is free and open to the public.
The Storm will take on the Phoenix Mercury in the team's only home preseason contest of the 2010 season on Sunday, May 2 at 2 p.m. at KeyArena.
Seattle will open its 2010 WNBA schedule on Sunday, May 16 in a 6 p.m. matchup versus the Sparks at KeyArena. The Storm will play on national television four times with all broadcasts airing on ESPN2. Highlighting the Storm's national television coverage is a KeyArena home game against defending WNBA Champion and league MVP Diana Taurasi and the Phoenix Mercury at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 27.
