
Somerset Patriots Pitcher Josh Muecke Signed By Colorado Rockies

Bridgewater, NJ - The Five -Time Atlantic League Champion Somerset Patriots have announced that left-handed pitcher Josh Muecke's contract has been purchased by the Colorado Rockies organization.
Muecke is expected to report to the team's Triple-A affiliate in Colorado Springs later this week.
Muecke appeared in one game with the Patriots, starting in Bridgeport this past Friday night.
Muecke has spent his entire career with the Houston Astros organization, including the past two seasons at the Triple-A level.
He finished the 2009 season with a 4.90 ERA with 85 strikeouts in 136 innings pitched. In 2008, Muecke had 107 strikeouts in 165.2 innings pitched.
In other team news, the Patriots have activated outfielder Joe Holden.
