Otters Mourn Loss Of Former Player Vince Scott

The Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League are saddened by the loss of former player Vince Scott in an automobile accident outside of St. Catharines, Ontario Wednesday morning. He was 23.

Scott played four seasons with the Otters from 2003 to 2006, appearing in 202 games and collecting 29 goals and 42 assists for 71 points. Scott completed his OHL career with Sarnia in 2007.

A native of Mississauga, Ontario, Scott attended the University of Prince Edward Island for two years before transferring to Brock University, where he played his season. Scott led the Badgers with 25 points in 25 games.

"On behalf of the entire Erie Otters organization, our heartfelt sympathies go out to the Scott family," Otters Assistant General Manager Shawn Waskiewicz said. "Vinny was a high character kid who cared about his teammates and community. He will be missed."
