Derkatch to oversee first WHL Bantam Draft for Raiders

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan - When the Prince Albert Raiders announce their first round selection, 6th overall in Thursday's Western Hockey League Bantam Draft at Fantasyland Hotel in Edmonton, it will be the culmination of Dale Derkatch's first full season as the teams' Director of Player Personnel. Derkatch took over the role on June 16, 2009.

This season he has worked along side General Manager and Head Coach Bruno Campese to oversee the Raider scouting staff as they prepare to select primarily 14 year-old players from across Western Canada and the Western United States. Derkatch is a former Rookie of the Year, Top Scorer and Head Coach in the WHL and has also scouted for the Washington Capitals of the NHL and been Director of Hockey Development at Notre Dame College in Wilcox, Saskatchewan.
