Reading Fightin Phils News Release
(Reading, PA) - The R-Phils game set for 6:35 p.m. tonight has been postponed due to inclement weather and has been rescheduled as part of a doubleheader beginning at 6:35 p.m. Tuesday, April 27 at FirstEnergy Stadium. The R-Phils and Harrisburg Senators will play two seven - inning games on Tuesday evening.
Due to the postponement, fans holding tickets for Monday's game can exchange each ticket for a ticket of equal or lesser value for any remaining R-Phils game this season based upon availability.
Highly-touted pitching prospect Stephen Strasburg, the number one overall pick in the 2009 First-Year-Player Draft, is scheduled to take the hill for Harrisburg in game one of the doubleheader on Tuesday. Strasburg, 21, made his first official Minor League start earlier this season in Altoona against the Curve on April 11. The 6'4", 220 pound righty allowed four runs (one earned), two walks, and four hits over five innings to earn his first career Minor League victory. He fanned eight batters on the evening, and continued to make headlines over his next two outings -- the last of which was against the R-Phils in Harrisburg on April 21.
The R-Phils will counter with pitcher Michael Cisco (1-2, 4.24 ERA) in game one of the twin bill. Cisco, who had a brilliant first outing of 2010 against Portland, hurling six innings of one-run baseball, while scattering just five hits, will make his fourth start of the season.
Taking the ball in game two will be LHP Yohan Flande (0-2, 0.96) for the R-Phils. Flande, a member of the Philadelphia 40-man roster, has tossed 18.2 innings, allowing just two earned runs, while fanning five. In his first start of the year against Portland, Flande, 24, lasted six scoreless innings and surrendered just one hit.
On the mound for the Senators in the second game will be LHP Tom Milone (1-0, 2.20). Milone, a native of Saugus, CA, beat Reading on April 20 in Harrisburg -- allowing no runs over 5.2 innings pitched.
The pitching probables for the doubleheader are as follows: Game 1: RHP Michael Cisco vs. RHP Stephen Strasburg Game 2: LHP Yohan Flande vs. LHP Tom Milone
