SAINT JOHN, NB --- Saint John Sea Dogs Director of Hockey Operations Mike Kelly announced today that affiliate player Will Johnston has been recalled from the Summerside Western Capitals (MJAHL). The 19-year old forward appeared in two games for the Sea Dogs earlier this season, recording two shots on goal in addition to five penalty minutes.

Johnston has registered 35GP-19G-19A-38P as a member of the Western Capitals this season. He currently leads the MJAHL in penalty minutes with 191. A native of Charlottetown, PEI, Johnston tallied 37GP-5G-18A-23P-231PIM with Summerside during the 2008-09 campaign, adding 13GP-1G-2A-3P-75PIM during the team's successful playoff run last year.

Saint John acquired Johnston's major junior rights from Montreal on August 19, 2009, in a trade that sent a 12th round entry draft pick to the Juniors. The 6'4", 224 lb. winger was originally selected by the Shawinigan Cataractes in the sixth round (91st overall) of the 2007 QMJHL Entry Draft.

Currently leading the QMJHL with a record of 44-8-1-0, the Sea Dogs kick off a three-game home stand on Wednesday night at 7:00pm versus the Acadie-Bathurst Titan. This match has been designated Homemade Noisemaker Night, with fans being encouraged to bring their most creative sound-emitting devices to Harbour Station as Saint John looks to complete an eight-game sweep of their season series with Acadie-Bathurst. Tickets to all upcoming Sea Dogs home games are available by calling the arena box office at (506) 657-1234 or by visiting www.tickets.harbourstation.ca.
